Mr. Bradleyasked the Minister of Transport what representations he has received from the Leicester City Council regarding the control of pedestrian crossings in Belgrave Road, Leicester; and whether he will now agree to the installation of pedestrian control lights linked with existing traffic signals.
§ Mr. Tom FraserThe council wrote to my Department on 21st June, 1965, and called attention to two recent fatal accidents. My divisional road engineer has discussed the matter with the city engineer. A survey is to be made of pedestrian and vehicle flows and comprehensive proposals will be submitted for dealing with the problems on this road.
