§ 26. Mr. Iremongerasked the Minister of Transport if he will make a statement about the removal of the "Give Way" signs from the Barley Lane roundabout in Eastern Avenue.
§ Mr. SwinglerThese signs were erected as part of an experiment in priority at roundabouts which is being carried out in London and elsewhere. At the Barley Lane roundabout, where there is at times heavy cross traffic from minor roads, there were serious delays to traffic on the main road during peak periods after the signs were erected. They were, therefore, removed.
