§ Mr. GunterMy officers work in close co-operation with the employers' associations and the trades unions in the Merseyside area on training and other matters. 95W The training capacity of the Government Training Centre at Aintree has been increased by almost a half during the last two years. One purpose of the Industrial Training Act is to encourage the provision of increased training facilities by employers. Furthermore, over 200 training places have been made available in the last two years through the efforts of the Merseyside Training Council in introducing Group Training Schemes.
