§ 44. Mr. Roseasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he will instruct Her Majesty's Government's representative at the United Nations Organisation to make a statement condemning the use of torture and the public shooting of prisoners during the course of hostilities.
§ Mr. George ThomsonHer Majesty's Government deplore all illegal and inhumane acts inflicted upon prisoners. Our attitude to such atrocities is well known and I am grateful for this opportunity of restating it. I will certainly bear my hon. Friend's suggestion in mind about a further statement at the United Nations.
