§ 38. Mr. Wingfield Digbyasked the Secretary of State for Defence what will be the composition of the technical mission which is to visit the United States to explore wider reciprocity on defence procurement.
§ Mr. HealeyThe purposes of the mission are to learn about United States procurement procedures in general and to consider what more can be done to stimulate the formulation and study of proposals for sales.
The mission is being led by the Assistant Under-Secretary of State who has been in charge of these discussions throughout. He will be supported by experts from the Navy Department, the Army Department and the Ministry of Aviation.
