§ Mr. GunterAs the right hon. Member will be aware, I have talked with the Chairman of British Railways Board and the General Secretaries of the Associated Society of Locomotive Engineers and Firemen and the National Union of Railwaymen. The matter is on the agenda of the meeting of the Railway Staff National Council tomorrow. Meanwhile, I would strongly urge that the men who have been taking unofficial action which has caused grave inconvenience to the travelling public should accept the advice of their union to continue normal working.
