§ 36. Mr. Garrowasked the Minister of Health if, in view of the known connection between cigarette smoking and lung cancer and the growing public awareness of the dangers of cigarette smoking, he will seek powers to ban cigarette vending machines from public places where children have easy access to their contents.
§ Mr. LoughlinThere are powers in Section 7(2) of the Children and Young Pesons Act, 1933, for courts to order the removal of a machine which is extensively used by children under sixteen.
