§ Mr. Murrayasked the Minister of Public Building and Works, what consideration was given to the views of the parish councils of the parishes of St. Hoo, Werburgh and Frindsbury on the proposal to erect a new bridge at Four Elms Hill, Chattenden, near Rochester, Kent; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. C. PannellI would refer my hon. Friend to the reply given by my hon. Friend, the Parliamentary Secretary, on 2nd June. The views of local authorities were taken into account at the meeting referred to in my hon. Friend's answer, but as the proposed temporary bridge will not be in the parish of Frindsbury, that parish council was not represented at the meeting. The Kent County Council have now agreed to the proposal.
