§ Mr. Tom FraserThe proposal put to me was for the construction of a length of road intended ultimately to form part of an inner relief road. This would have little through-traffic value in itself. I have, therefore, asked my divisional road engineer to discuss with the borough and county councils alternative means of relieving congestion in the town at holiday times.
