§ 42. Mr. MacArthurasked the Secretary of State for Scotland what progress has been made in developing a humane alternative to the gin trap.
§ Mr. RossA humane alternative to the gin trap has not yet been found. Trials are, however, being undertaken of five types of trap considered by the Humane Traps Panel to be worthy of investigation. I am unable to say what the outcome of the trials is likely to be.
