§ 55. Mr. Winterbottomasked the Minister of Labour if he will issue a circular to chairmen, independent members, and members of the Wages Councils indicating that the rates of remuneration and conditions of labour set out in the various Wages Council Orders are minima, and that they are not intended as substitutes for voluntary trade union agreements within the trades concerned.
§ Mr. GunterI am sure that all members of Wages Councils know that Wages Council Orders set out minimum rates and conditions and I do not think the action suggested by my hon. Friend is necessary.
