§ Mr. GunterIn the Abertillery Youth Employment Office area, which covers the greater part of the Abertillery constituency, 117 boys left school at Easter. Of these 19 or 16.2 per cent. are known to the Youth Employment Officer to have obtained apprenticeships.

Statistics are not available to show how many of these secured employment. On 6th July, 1965, 2 or 1 per cent. were registered as unemployed.
