§ Sir Knox Cunninghamasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he is aware that the Lisburn Factory Limited, a weaving mill in South Antrim, has announced that it will cease production on 27th January because of the reduction in orders due to the 15 per cent. import duty, and that in consequence the employees will lose their jobs; and whether the present balance of payments yet permits him to implement his promise and remove the 15 per cent. impost.
§ Mr. DiamondI understand that the closure of this factory is due to factors not connected with the temporary import charge. The second part of the Question does not, therefore, arise.
