§ Mr. Carlisleasked the Minister of Transport whether, in arriving at his decision on the proposed withdrawal of passenger train services between Liverpool, Lime Street and Chester, General, and the discontinuance of all passenger 56W train services between Runcorn and Frodsham, he will take into consideration the existing state of overcrowding and congestion on the A.56 road through Helsby and Frodsham, and the likely future increase in demand for use of these train services by reason of the fact that Runcorn has been designated as a new town; and if he will make a statement.
