§ Dr. MabonThe rate of slum clearance is determined by the output of new houses constructed by public authorities and my right hon. Friend is encouraging an increase in that output. My right hon. Friend has asked local authorities for their slum clearance proposals for 1965 to 1967, and for their estimates of the remaining problem. With 101W this information we will discuss with them how best the rate of slum clearance can be increased.
