§ 62. Mr. A. J. Irvineasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he has taken steps to ensure that, in the case of Leading Electrical Mechanic Alan Chesworth of H.M.S. "Owen" and from Edge Hill, Liverpool, at present imprisoned in La Linea and accused of using insulting language about the Spanish Head of State, no departure from normal practice and procedure relative to the venue and mode of trial will be resorted to.
§ Mr. PadleyLeading Electrical Mechanic Chesworth will appear before the Civilian Court of Public Order at Madrid. I understand that this is the Spanish court which normally deals with cases of this sort and its normal venue is Madrid.
