RobinsonIf the item may be supplied only on prescription, the cost to the Department for a National Health Service prescription is less than the charge for dispensing a private prescription when professional fees are charged by the chemist in accordance with the scale recommended by the Pharmaceutical Society. If no professional fee is charged for an item which may be sold over the counter without prescription, the cost to the Department at the present time will be more than the retail price up to approximately 9s. 6d. retail value.
