§ 56. Mr. Hastingsasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what tonnages of potatoes were imported from Spain, Cyprus, Malta and Egypt during May and June 1964; and what effect these imports had on home producers.
§ Mr. HoyImports of new potatoes from Spain, Cyprus, Malta and Egypt were 78,900 tons in May 1964 and 68,200 tons in June 1964. There were no imports of maincrop potatoes. On the second part of the Question, I have nothing to add to the Answer I gave to the hon. Member on 3rd February.
