§ Mr. Murtonasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government how many appeals against rating assessments 132W were lodged in Poole in the year ended 31st December, 1964; how many have been heard by the local valuation courts; and in how many cases the original assessments have been reduced.
§ Mr. MacCollIn 1964 the valuation officer received 468 proposals to alter the valuation list and transmitted 1,477 proposals made in 1963 or 1964 to the local valuation panel, so constituting appeals. By 31st December, 1964, the local valuation courts had heard 216 appeals arising from the 1963 list and had reduced the assessment in 38 cases. A further 569 appeals were disposed of by agreement between the parties or withdrawal.
