§ Mr. Hawkinsasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food when he hopes to receive the Wise Report on Statutory Smallholdings.
§ Mr. PeartI would refer the hon Member to the reply I gave to the hon. Member for Harwich (Mr. Ridsdale) on 25th November last. This is the first major review of statutory smallholdings policy since the 1947 Act was passed and the Committee must be allowed sufficient time to complete its task if it is to give a fully considered report. In addition to the smallholdings authorities and other interests who have already given evidence there are other authorities who wish to be interviewed and Professor Wise is anxious that they should have an opportunity to meet his Committee.
