§ 79. Sir B. Jannerasked the Minister of Health what saving will result to the National Health Service as a result of the legal decision about the right of his Department to buy drugs for hospitals from unpatented sources.
§ Mr. K. RobinsonCurrent contracts for patented drugs, involving the use of my powers under section 46(1) of the Patents Act, 1949, result in a gross saving to the National Health Service of about £1 million in one year. Royalties which have still to be settled will reduce this to some extent.
