§ Mr. George ThomasVarious proposals on this subject have been received from political parties and others. As my right hon. Friend The Prime Minister indicated on 2nd February when replying to Questions by my hon. Friend the Member for Fife, West (Mr. William Hamilton) and the hon. Member for Barry (Mr. Gower), it is hoped to arrange a Speaker's Conference on electoral matters which will consider this question, among many others.

(2) when he intends to introduce legislation on electoral reform.
