HC Deb 04 February 1965 vol 705 c314W
76. Mr. George Jeger

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies what action he proposes to take for the preservation of the economy of Gibraltar.

Mrs. White

At the request of the Gibraltar Government my right hon. Friend has sent his Senior Economic Adviser, Mr. Selwyn, to Gibraltar to survey the situation and to advise the Gibraltar Government on ways in which the economy might be strengthened and developed. Further action will need to be considered in the light of his report which is expected shortly.
