HC Deb 04 February 1965 vol 705 c309W
64. Mr. Frederic Harris

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many convictions of teenagers for drunkenness occurred in the years 1962, 1963 and 1964; and how many of these teenagers in each year have been under 18 years of age.

Mr. George Thomas

The numbers of convictions for drunkenness in England and Wales of persons under 21 years of age were 9,407 in 1962 and 9,241 in 1963; these numbers include 1,523 convictions in 1962 and 1,566 convictions in 1963 of persons under 18 years of age. I regret that the figures for 1964 are not yet available.
