HC Deb 04 February 1965 vol 705 cc333-4W
Mr. Merlyn Rees

asked the Minister of Health what action he proposes to take with regard to those local health authorities who require a minimum payment to be made to all persons for whom they provide domestic help.

Mr. K. Robinson

I am collecting up to-date information about the practice of local authorities. As soon as it is available I propose to consider with the local authority interests the possibility of discouraging all authorities from making a charge for domestic help they provide for persons in receipt of an allowance from the National Assistance Board.
