§ Mr. Ioan L. Evansasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government what decision he has reached about voting by aldermen and councillors who are council house tenants.
§ Mr. CrossmanI propose to give a general dispensation to council house tenants to speak on matters affecting council housing, provided, of course, that their interest is declared. I do not think it appropriate that tenants should vote when they have a financial interest unless the balance of parties requires it.
