HL Deb 22 December 1965 vol 271 cc1214-6WA
LORD FERRIER

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they will state in respect of the projected traffic survey in the area including Edinburgh (i) the area it is intended to cover, (ii) the dates on which it is supposed to begin and end, and (iii) the terms of the questionnaire it is intended to use as a basis for the investigators' collection of information.

LORD MITCHISON

I regret that it has not been possible to arrange the survey which my noble friend, the Joint Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Scotland referred to in his reply to the noble Lord on the 10th November, 1964. Discussions have started with Edinburgh Corporation and the surrounding county councils about the possibility of arranging land use transportation studies for Eastern Scotland, and this has introduced a new factor which we are now considering.

House adjourned at twenty-one minutes before twelve o'clock.
