§ Mr. PentlandUnder the National Insurance Act a widow beneficiary who remarries is treated thereafter like any other married woman; her future rights to benefit are based on her own insurance or on that of her new husband. As my hon. Friend is aware, the position of widows and married women will be examined in the course of the review of social security provisions which we are conducting.
