§ Mr. William Hamiltonasked the Minister of Health what are the reasons for the proposed increases in the fees for nursing examinations and registration; and, in view of the low scale of remuneration which nurses receive, whether he will prevent this decision from being implemented.
§ Mr. K. RobinsonThe increases are necessary to meet the Council's rising costs and I have agreed to approve them. I understand that in the last pay settlement the Management Side of the Whitley Council informed the Staff Side that they had taken account of the likelihood of increases in the fees.
