§ Sir F. SoskiceThe committee has been appointed jointly by my right hon. Friends the Secretary of State for Education and Science, the Minister of Health, the Minister of Housing and Local Government and myself with the following terms of reference
To review the organisation and responsibilities of the local authority personal social services in England and Wales, and to consider what changes are desirable to secure an effective family service".I am very glad to say that Mr. Frederick Seebohm has accepted appointment as chairman. The other members are:
