§ Mr. William RodgersIn the first half of 1965 the total wage and salary bill was nearly 8 per cent. higher than a year previously. Over the same period the retail price index rose by nearly 5 per cent. The gross national product at factor cost increased by 6½ per cent., or by 2½ per cent. at constant prices.
