§ 52. Mr. John Wellsasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will consult the Minister of Transport about the repositioning of "No Waiting" signs on the A.20 road to Kent within the Metropolitan area, with a view, after these signs have been rationalised, to instructing the Metropolitan Police to see that the law is enforced especially during rush-hours.
§ Mr. George ThomasMy right hon. and learned Friend is satisfied that the police do their best to enforce restrictions on waiting, having regard to the calls made upon them. The positioning of the signs in question is a matter for the Greater London Council.
