§ Mr. Joseph SlaterThe telephone is one of a number of free cab rank telephones that have existed for many years. There is no reason why the Post Office—in effect other telephone subscribers—should subsidise the cab trade and existing ones are gradually being withdrawn and replaced when required by rented telephones.
