§ Mr. Tom FraserI expect to be able shortly to announce my decision on the Railways Board's proposal to close passenger services to Oldham. I would remind my hon. Friend that the function of the Transport Users Consultative Committee is not to make a recommendation but to report to me on the hardship which a closure might cause.
