§ 40. Mr. Ronald Bellasked the Minister of Labour, how many trade unions have 3W still not agreed to accept the new six-month training courses at Government training centres as sufficient qualification for skilled employment.
§ Mr. ThorntonThe agreements between the Ministry and the representatives of employers and trades unions at national level about the placing of G.T.C. trainees, generally secure that trainees are accepted into jobs where they can use the skills they have learnt at the centre. There are, however, still local difficulties in particular areas.
§ Mr. Tinnasked the Minister of Labour, whether he will conduct a follow-up survey of trainees from Government training centres to ensure that they are being absorbed into the trades for which they were trained.
