§ Mr. Rhodesasked the President of the Board of Trade what action he intends to take in respect of the evidence submitted to him by the hon. Member for Newcastle-upon-Tyne, East, of repeated violations of Section 200 of the Companies Act, 1948 by a person named in the said evidence.
§ Mr. DarlingThe evidence submitted by my hon. Friend does not appear to relate to contraventions of Section 200 of the Companies Act, 1948.
§ Mr. Rhodesasked the President of the Board of Trade if he will seek to amend the Companies Act 1948, bringing it into accord with the recommendations of the Jenkins Committee, in view of the activities of a number of exempt private companies, details of which have been sent to 30W him, which are acting in a fraudulent manner by selling franchises for non-existent vending machines.
