§ Mr. Malcolm MacMillanasked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether he will now announce the name of the first Chairman of the Highlands and Islands Development Board.
§ Mr. RossI have appointed Professor Robert Grieve, Professor of Town and Regional Planning in the University of Glasgow, to be Chairman of the Highlands and Islands Development Board for a period of five years from 1st November, 1965, at a salary of £7,000 a year. The University Court has agreed to second Professor Grieve to take up the appointment on a whole-time basis, on the understanding that he will be available for consultation by the university on the development of its Department of Town and Regional Planning and its related research interests.
