HC Deb 04 August 1965 vol 717 c329W
60. Mr. David Steel

asked the Secreretary of State for Scotland in what respects the various premises used by pupils of the primary school in Kelso do not meet the standards laid down by the Scottish Education Department, with particular reference to classroom accommodation, assembly hall, gymnasium, general purpose rooms, dining hall, infant mistress room, male staff room, library, medical room, secretary's room, store rooms, adjustment classrooms, playing fields, cloakrooms and toilets.

Mr. Ross

I am aware that the premises do not meet the prescribed standards in a number of respects but I do not have details. The education authority intends to build a new school when it can be fitted into its building programme.
