asked the Minister of Aviation if he will list the types of foreign two-, three-, four-, five- and six-seater light aircraft, respectively, of which one or more aircraft are now registered in this country; and what is the total number so registered.

asked the Minister of Aviation what types of two-, three-, four-, five- and six-seater British light aircraft, respectively, are at present in production in this country; and whether they are fitted with British or foreign engines.

Nine types of aircraft of less than 12,500 lb. all up weight, and seating from two to six persons, are at present in production in the United Kingdom. Six of these are usually powered by engines built in the United Kingdom three of which are of British design and three by engines designed and manufactured in the United States. The list is as follows:

A.U.W.) at present in production in the United Kingdom, with the country of origin of the engine(s): Rollason Condor—2 seats—British manufactured under foreign licence. Luton Major—2 seats—British manufactured under foreign licence. Fairtravel Linnet—2 seats—British manufactured under foreign licence. Beagle Terrier—2 seats—British engine. B.A.C. Jet Provost—2 seats—British engine. H.S. Gnat—2 seats—British engine. Beagle Airedale—4 seats—American engine supplied through British agent. Beagle Husky—4 seats—American engine supplied through British agent. Beagle 206 (the R.A.F. version is called the "Basset")—5/6 seats—American engine supplied through British agent.
