There were objections to a compulsory purchase order by which the County 292W Council sought to acquire some of the land required for its scheme. My predecessor declined to confirm the order, and asked the County Council to reexamine its proposals and to investigate the merits of an alternative scheme suggested by the objector. The County Council has done this and is now considering making another compulsory purchase order.
