§ 84. Mr. Freesonasked the Postmaster-General what was the fault percentage attributable to the Post Office in the London Telecommunications Region covering trunk and local calls in each of the years 1951–52 to 1964–65.
§ Mr. BennCombined figures in respect of operator-handled and automatically dialled calls cannot readily be obtained. Call failures due to faults attributable to the Post Office, but excluding those resulting from equipment or line congestion, are also not readily available for the periods required. The following percentages therefore relate to call failures for all causes for which the Post Office was responsible:
