Mr. Robert Carr

asked the Minister of Overseas Development (1) what is the size of the establishment allocated to the work in connection with overseas development taken over by her Department from the Commonwealth Relations Office;

(2) what is the size of the establishment allocated to the work in connection with overseas development taken over by her Department from the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food.

(3) what is the size of the establishment allocated to the work in connection with overseas development taken over by her Department from the Foreign Office;

(4) what is the size of the establishment allocated to the work in connection with overseas development taken over by her Department from the Department of Education and Science.

As indicated in my reply of the 15th December, 1954, to the hon. Member for Banbury (Mr. Marten), it is not possible to give precise figures of the number of staff required to discharge functions taken over from other Departments because the work has been distributed on a new basis.
