§ Mr. Thorpeasked the Postmaster-General what is the estimated cost of installing an automatic internal dialling system in the Palace of Westminster; and whether, to relieve existing pressure on the present switchboard, he will give consideration to installing such a system.
§ Mr. BennI cannot give a close estimate of cost without a detailed design study but it would probably be of the order of £50–80,000. The question of installing such a system is a matter for the authorities of both Houses.
