Mr. Boyd-Carpenterasked the Minister of Land and Natural Resources why the Town and Country Planning Association were informed on his behalf that the White Paper on Land Policy will not be published before the Summer Recess; why similar information has been refused to Parliament; and whether he will now make a statement as to his intentions in respect both of the proposed White Paper and of the legislation on this subject which was stated in the Gracious Speech last November to be expected to be brought forward this Session.
§ Mr. WilleyThe Association were not so informed. They asked my Department for advice about the postponement of a conference on the Government's proposals for land in the light of reports in the Press. They were left to draw their own conclusions about the date of publication of the White Paper in the light of those reports.
