HC Deb 26 April 1965 vol 711 cc13-4W
Mr. Biffen

asked the Minister of Aviation what he calculates to be the underlying rate of productivity for pilots employed by British European Airways.

Mr. Roy Jenkins

In the first 11 months of the 1964–65 financial year for which figures are available, B.E.A.'s pilots had an average output of 498,000 capacity-ton-miles per pilot. As the result of the recent agreement concluded with the British Airlines Pilots Association it is expected that productivity per pilot will be increased on an average up to 8 per cent. by the end of 1965–66.
