§ 55. Mr. Leadbitterasked the Minister of Pensions and National Insurance if she will review the procedure for dealing with payments of Unemployment Insurance benefits where the reason for dismissal from employment is in dispute, with a view to reducing the work within various departments of the social security services and eliminating inconvenience and sometimes hardship to applicants.
§ Miss HerbisonThe procedure for dealing with claims for unemployment benefit is under constant review. If my hon. Friend will let me know of any particular aspect of the procedure which is causing him concern I will gladly look into it and write to him.
