§ 50. Mr. Fisherasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether, in view of his declaration in the White Paper, Command Paper No. 2632, that Her Majesty's Government will stand by the people of Gibraltar in their present difficulties and take whatever measures may be necessary to defend and sustain them, he will now indicate what measures he proposes to take in order to implement this declaration.
§ 53. Mr. Kilfedderasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs what measures he now intends to take to relieve the restrictions placed on Gibraltar by Spain.
§ Mr. M. StewartAs the White Paper on Gibraltar made clear, a number of measures to make the economy of Gibraltar more self-sufficient have already been taken. Further measures to defend or sustain Gibraltar will be taken if they prove necessary.
