HC Deb 09 April 1965 vol 710 cc111-2W
Dr. Bennett

asked the Secretary of State for Defence what is the present extent of removal of the barriers at Horse and No Man's Forts; what undisclosed underwater dangers remain, especially in the Horse Fort barrier; and what action he is taking.

Mr. Mulley

The barrier on the Isle of Wight side of the forts is believed to be cleared, but it is proposed to hold an investigation in the near future to ensure that this is so. The removal of the steelwork obstructions which top the concrete blocks on the north side of the forts should be completed this year.
