§ Mr. RossI assume that the hon. Member is asking about expenditure for 69W the benefit of Scotland. Much Government expenditure, for example on roads, benefits Scottish tourism indirectly. In addition, during 1964–65, the Scottish Tourist Board received a grant of £15,000 for work in the Highlands; and the British Travel Association, which received a grant of £1,750,000, estimates that it spent over £400,000 on overseas publicity to attract tourists to Scotland.
