60Wsome hospitals have been refusing hundreds of applications from young girls who wish to join the nursing profession, without giving them any indication of the urgent need for such applicants in other hospitals; and what action he will take to deal with the matter.
§ Mr. K. RobinsonI am aware that some hospitals receive more applicants for training than they can accept. It is a common practice for those who cannot be accepted to be referred elsewhere for training but I am discussing this and other aspects of the organisation of nurse recruitment with Regional Hospital Boards.
